There are many ways to elope in the USA, our aim is to make things as quick and easy for you as possible all the while making your elopement fun, exciting and above all stress-free.
The first thing to do is decide on a location. You can be married at any of our locations in New York, Los Angeles, Virginia, New Jersey or Las Vegas, or alternatively, come up with somewhere different and we will make it happen for you. You do not have to be a resident of the state you get married in and you do not have to be an American Citizen to be married in the United States either, you can be here on holiday, or even as an illegal immigrant you can still be married here in the US.
The steps to getting married with an Officiant via the I Do Drive Thru-
-Make an enquiry through our contact Us Page and let us know where you would like to be married - or jump straight in and make a booking here Make a Booking.
-Once you have decided to proceed we will ask you to visit our make a Booking page and there you will pay $100 booking deposit for your Officiant and/or Photographer. If needed, confirm costs here.
-We will then introduce you to your Officiant and/or Photographer who will contact you and set up a time to meet on Zoom or the phone, where they can assist you with information and ideas for your elopement as well as information on how to obtain your marriage licence.
-The Officiant and/or Photographer will send you an invoice for the balance of the fees.
-At the zoom meeting you will learn all about how to apply for your marriage licence and what ID is required, then your Officiant will give you some ideas about how/when/where you can be married.
-You will obtain your marriage licence from your local authority (don’t worry we will walk you through this-it’s simple!)
-Then the fun bit! You make your ceremony choices via our online portal, you can choose between a 2, 5 or 7 minute ceremony, with or without personalised vows.
-Your Officiant will meet you at the pre-designated location on your wedding day and dazzle you with an amazing short but sweet ceremony.
-After the ceremony you are married! You have the opportunity to get some photos with one of our photographers if you like, what a great way to remember your special day.
-We will sign, witness & process your marriage license with the appropriate Registrar’s office and take care of the final legalities for you.
It is very easy to be married with an I Do Drive Thru Officiant, the process is simple, and fun and we have many options and suggestions. Booking a wedding through one of our Officiants is way more flexible then a courthouse wedding and you can choose a beautiful location, somewhere to have a lovely backdrop for your ceremony where you can go to celebrate your wedding anniversary every year! That’s definitely something you cannot do at the courthouse!
